Join our Strategic Planning Session

Dear SacFR Community,

Thank you to everyone who’s already read the Strategic Plan Progress Report and are excited for the Strategic Planning Session on Wednesday, August 6 at 7:00pm. We’ll meet on the back patio of Bear & Crown in Old Sacramento, just after our group run on the Pride 5K route from Delta King. (Note that we are moving from McKinley to Old Sac just for August 6.)

This is your chance to help shape the club’s next 2-3 years, and to hear about some exciting new ideas that are already brewing. Things like:

• A Race Series Team Captain to coordinate a few group races a year

• A Social Chair to plan brunches, picnics, and game nights

• A Digital Officer to own our Instagram vibe and website updates

• A Pride 5K Sponsorship Lead to help build community and bring in support

• And more roles that could be shared or seasonal. No heavy lift required!

These draft officer roles are open to anyone, whether you’ve been with the club for a month or a decade. You don’t have to be a “runner” or commit tons of time; we’re building a team where people can contribute in ways that match their energy, availability, and skills.

Come share your ideas, hear from others, and help define what SacFR could become next. Whether you're looking to lead or just offer input, your presence makes a difference.
